Soil Management and Conservation Laboratory

Aims

The main aims of the activities carried out are:

  • Support and financing of research projects conducted by the Associate Department faculty.
  • Offering services to public and private organizations as well as to individual producers.

Human Resources

Apart from the structure described, two no-faculty members and a junior investigator participate in the Lab activities.

  • Basically, all requirements made by individuals, public or private organizations and business companies regarding:
  • Soil, water and substrate analysis.
  • Aptitude and Use Capacity Maps.
  • Photo-interpretation and interpretation of satellite images.
  • Soil degradation surveys.
  • Practices for water and wind erosion control.
  • Assessment on conservation activities.

The Lab develops research works as part of the System for Methodological Support and Analysis Laboratories (SAMLA) of the Secretaría de Agricultura, Ganadería, Pesca y Alimentación de la Nación
