Ornamental Plants Propagation Laboratory

Aims

  • Train Floriculture and Gardening students on the use of propagation techniques for ornamental herbaceous and woody plants.
  • Train Agronomy or Technical courses students on research activities about the propagation of ornamental species.
  • Develop techniques and adjustments in the propagation of ornamentals.
  • Provide producers and landscapers with a propagation service of adequate quality and quantity standards to suit a demanding market.

Structure
 

The lab is run by a qualified team of professors-investigators of the Division of Floriculture and external advisors. It started its activities in January 1999 in answer to an increasing demand for knowledge and services. At present, it has become a reference in the field.
